Bundle and kit pricing

Build the economics of a product bundle or kit from individual SKU components. See blended margin, retailer value proposition, and whether your bundle price is defensible.

How the numbers are built

  1. Add up the components

Component COGS, wholesale and MSRP totals are summed for the SKUs included in the kit.

  2. Add kit costs

Packaging (box, tissue, label, insert), assembly (labor, QC) and overhead (storage, handling, admin) are added per unit to get total bundle COGS.

  3. Test the price

Bundle margin is bundle wholesale price minus total bundle COGS, over bundle wholesale price. Compare it with the component average margin and the discount the retailer gets versus buying a la carte.

  4. Check the retail story

The MSRP multiple (bundle MSRP over bundle wholesale) should reach 2x for the retailer to keep standard keystone margin.
